This is extremely important because in Ohio, our soil consists primarily of different types of clay and the ground holds a great deal of moisture. The ground therefore becomes very reactive to seasonal temperature changes which causes the ground to expand and contract. The movement of the soil is not just up and down, it moves laterally and applies forces pushing in against the back side of the pool walls. This is why many concrete pool walls and floors develop cracks and leaks in Ohio. Our in-ground pools have been designed to be best suited for these conditions without issues.
